My friend has just set up her own invitation making business. I did think that it was something which may not bring her in much work, but she is very busy. The thing is that people want a big number of invitations when they order, so even if she does not get a great deal of orders, she does get a lot of work per order. She has had all sorts of orders too, some stranger than others. She recently was asked to do pool party invitations. I thought it was rather extravagant but she explained that it was a 21st birthday party for a daughter of a well off family and that explained it. She said she had great fun making those.

She tends to get a lot of birthday party invitations as well as wedding invitations and wedding parties such as bridal showers and rehearsal dinner invitations and sometimes finds it hard to make them unique. She has decided to maybe come up with a set of 10 designs that people can choose from and then charge more for something unique as it takes her more time. I this is a great idea and a really good sign that she can make it as a good business woman as well as being very creative and talented with her card making skill
